Rest in peace to both great men- Mac
The past month we have sadly lost two former DRG players, both played a big part in the clubs history and helped us to be the team and club we are today.
Club president John Mcarther remembers them both as a team mate and manager.
Gary Kenway was a tower of strength up front and played a big part in DRG team winning the county league back in 95/96 season.
Gary known as a gentle giant on and off the pitch score important goals in the season to give us the title and clubs highest honour to date, sadly Gary got injured a few seasons later and did not play for DRG again.
We also lost Ces Steeds who passed away last week age 95 .
Ces had 5 years at Bristol city and 6 years at Bristol rovers and after starting work at Rwp started playing for the Durge for 3 years and played s big part in getting club from district league into premier league when he retired he spent many years on rwp committee helping the club off the pitch as he did on it.
Rest in peace to both great men
